The
Echo Hose Ambulance Training Department is
constructed of a team of highly qualified and
experienced EMS professionals. As the
primary center for EMS education in the Lower
Naugatuck Valley, the Echo Hose Training
Department provides educational opportunities
for both new and experienced providers.
Our instructors bring over 50 years of experience
into each class. Each year Echo Hose
Training Department offers four to six initial
Emergency Medical Technician courses in
additional to bi-monthly Emergency Medical
Technician and Medical Response Technician
recertification courses.
For
the past five years Echo Hose Training
Department, in conjunction with the Shelton
Board of Education and Shelton High School
proudly offers emergency medical technician
courses as part of the Shelton High curriculum,
allowing students to obtain advanced education
and career opportunities as well as fulfilling
needed requirements for graduation.
In March 2009 Echo Hose
Ambulance established residence at our new
Training Center located on Howe Avenue.
This facility is designed to enhance student
learning and provide opportunities for community
training programs. The new center appeals to
both students and instructors as it is equipped
with individual break out areas containing the
most up to date equipment and mannequins
available.
The
facility also provides a centralized location
for EMS students from all over Connecticut to
sit for initial and recertification testing.
Currently the facility offers students the
ability to select one of two Saturdays each
month to test.
Seminars
and Continuing Education classes are offered
throughout the year and cover a wide range of
topics. In attempt to improve the overall
health of Shelton, Echo Hose Ambulance is
excited to announce Zumba fitness classes
beginning in January 2010 which will be open to
the public.
On
behalf of Echo Hose Ambulance, we would like to
thank you for considering us as your choice for
furthering your education in personal health,
healthcare and fitness.
