Echo Hose Training Center now provides Connecicut State EMT Practical Testing. The training center is conveniently located on the New Haven and Bridgeport bus line as well as 1/4 mile away from the Waterbury/New Haven train line.

Test fees: $75 for initial testing $35.00 for re-testing (up to 3 stations)

Registration Process:

• Registration is done on a first come first serve basis. The first 50 people to sign up for an exam will be able to test.

•  Payment is due to reserve a seat at least 10 business days prior to the exam.  The confirmation and receipt of payment will be brought to the facility with a State Drivers License or Photo Identification Card. 

• If the candidate is not able to provide a credit card through our online registration system, then a bank certified check or money order can be dropped off and/or mailed to our facility. Our mailing address is PO Box 213, Shelton, CT 06484.   Payments must be received at least 10 business days in advance of the test.

• Payment is non-refundable. In the event that we cancel the exam (inclement weather, or any other catastrophic reason), money will be transferred to another test date.  If a test date is cancelled because the minimum amount of students hasn’t been met, a refund will be given or candidates can apply the payment to the next available exam date.

• In case of inclement weather, the candidates will be notified via email of a cancellation. 

Testing Information

• The facility reserves the right to cancel the test within 10 business days of the exam date if there are less then 15 students who are registered for the exam.

• Registration is from 7:30am-8:00am.  Candidates who arrive after 8:15am will be prohibited from entering the facility and will not be allowed to test.

• All testing candidates must bring CONFIRMATION OF PAYMENT WITH A PHOTO IDENTIFICATION CARD in order to test.

• Candidates should wear plain clothing. No company logo, team logos, or ems/fire/police clothing allowed.

• No weapons are allowed in the facility for any reason.  This includes pocket knives, firearms or any other item that is considered a weapon.

• Please park all vehicles on the street or in the municipal parking lot one block north of our facility.  Please do not park in the gas station parking lot next door.  Parking violators will be towed.
